The vintage rug

Our Vintage rugs are found during our excursions in Morocco, in the Berber villages of the Middle and High Atlas. We find them directly at the source, from Berber families. What we love above all during our trips is this moment of sharing and conviviality that we weave with the Berber families before returning on the roads.

The Berber rugs that we find are very important to us. We breathe new life into these hidden treasures. Beyond their decorative dimension, Vintage Rugs have the particularity of having a story, they are full of historical background and offer a certain aura to each living space. These are unique pieces considered as true works of art. Each berber rug gains value over time if it is regularly maintained.

Morocco is known for its quality craftsmanship. Berber Rugs are the result of a long tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. These tribes, isolated from the big cities, have no foreign influence, and each rug retains its own originality and uniqueness. You will never find two identical rugs!

At Anwa ‘Origin, we highlight the know-how and limitless creativity of the Berber tribes. All our pieces are handmade by artists, these artisan women present in our small family cooperative in Morocco.

Our “Vintage” rugs are they, unearthed directly in the Berber villages of the Middle Atlas. Rugs considered to be true works of art, rare and unique pearls steeped in history.

Each step in the production of a rug is designed to preserve our environment: the wool is 100% local, it comes from Moroccan producers. No chemicals are used in the processing of wool.

Other fabrics that can be used such as cotton, nylon, synthetic materials etc. are 100% recycled . Finally, the colorful patterns of the rugs are made from 100% vegetal dyes, which have been carefully chosen in order to last over time and to offer you the best possible quality.

To maintain your rug, we have selected you the best tips from our grandmother Majo, installed in Morocco for 20 years. They are easy to make and consist mainly of natural products. Otherwise, we recommend that you go to a professional to clean your rug.

The cost of delivery varies depending on the country you are ordering from. When your favorite product is added to the basket, you can then enter your address and the cost of delivery will be calculated. If your country is not on our international delivery list, please contact us at contact@anwa-origin.com so that we can quote together and schedule your delivery.

Your order will be processed within 1 to 3 working days by our team.

Delivery then takes place between 2 and 7 estimated days (for the estimated times per country, refer to the options available when ordering) from the dispatch of the order, materialized by the dispatch notice of your order which will be emailed to you.

If you change your mind, you have 14 days to return your order to us in original condition. Please refer to the general conditions of sale.
